Peugeot 205 GTI WIP
We are pleased to note that next to the variety of tracks and top-notch vehicles for Richard Burns Rally, there is also the growing group of classical and not necessarily top-spec cars being created. One of such cars is a currently developed Peugeot 205 GTI. It's author is a Frenchman nicknamed roysteph. Body mesh is already done. Further development will be provided in cooperation with other French modeller, mrhorsepower. The scheduled release date is not yet known.
Peugeot 307 WRC '05 - new screenshots
Several new screenshots of Peugeot 307 WRC '05, wich is unpatiently awaited by many virtual racers, have recently appeared on the web. Car is a conversion from another rally-themed game, CMRD. It's author is well known Hungarian addon-maker, nicknamed atiwrc. Mesh seems to be almost finished, now the author will probably focus on creating physics for it. It's highly possible, that we will see this model released in the begining of the new year.
KTD for Christmas
Kazhol Team Design crew decided to make our christmas break more pleasant with new informations about their currently developed models. Talented modelers claim that Seat Ibiza Kit-Car's 3d mesh is almost finished; It's "awaiting" for textures and last fixes. Additionaly, gentelmans made us very nice surprise by announcing upcoming refresh of one of their most popular cars: Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI. Vehicle will get a brand new interior, chasis supension and wheels. All of those parts will be the same high-quality bits as in their Seat Cordoba WRC. Additionally, player will get another version of japanese car; Evo V. More info is available on official Kazhol Team Design website.
Subaru Impreza 555 - Coming soon!
Good news for all fans of classic rally cars - the project of Subaru Impreza 555 by gonzo_kool / nanamitatsuki, wich seemed abandoned has recently came to live again. A few new informations about it has been published; Exterior is now 70% done and the interior is finished in 40 %. Currently the last touches to body mesh (such as light pods etc.) and the cockpit are being done. According to authors, effect of their work is supposed to be released really soon, so all we can do now is waiting in patience.
Also, we'd like to remind the old video, showing model in action:
Evo X - further progress
Good news for all players who are competing in virtual group N. As we found out recently, development of newest version of one of most popular cars in Richard Burns Rally - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo - will be restarted. Despite the the fact that model marked as Evo X is beggining it's career on real stages, players already had an opportunity to test the car themselves with beta version, released several weeks ago. Myra - author of first conversion is not interested in further developent of car so Werner Van Kuyk decided to continue. Dutchman has replaced the roolcage with own one, based on real construction and made a new set of tarmac wheels so far. Later he plans to take care of mapping, as the beta version didn't allow creation of especially detailed skins. Effects of his work can bee seen on screenshots below.
Lancer WRC - coming soon!?
Model of Mitsubishi Lancer WRC 2005 by Dojazdówka is getting clearer and clearer shapes. Whole team was working with their full power through last several weeks to finish this effort with below renders of almost done mesh, wich isWojtek's and Johnny creations. What also deserves mention here is cooperation of jay_p_666.Remember, that except the body work, present on screenshots, also most of interior and undercarriage is already done. We keep our fingers crossed for Polish team to be first to sucessfully recreate this cult car in Richard Burns Rally; As we all know, none of three projects, wich were started so far, was released, therefore it's one of most-awaited addons for many players. Authors are also announcing very soon premiere.
Refreshed Corolla
Another interesting informations are coming o us from our southern neighbours; One of best-known Czech addon creators - Kubrt, who is an author of - among many others - Citroen C4 WRC, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX and Peugeot 207 S2000 models, decided not to stay idle and put his hands on another car - this tame made completly from scratch. The one wich was chosen is one of most popular cars among private teams in it's time - Toyota Corolla WRC. It's a great news for many players for sure, as the model wich was included by default in Richard Burns Rally was not done espacially neat and did not recreated the real car fully. Author's plans are covering to version of this vehicle: '97 Spec and newer '98/'99 one. Developement of bodywork and it's mapping is near to completion, yet the car still hasn't got it's interior.
